It’s that time of year again where my skin/hair/face all start to look a little drier, duller, and paler. So I’ve stocked up on some key products to help combat the effects of the changing weather. Here are five of my fall favorite beauty buys:
I recently cut my hair pretty short. In order to keep my ends strong and healthy, I’ve decided to take a break from the hot tools (especially during these cold, dry months). Instead of using a curling iron, I’m drying my hair with a round brush. I especially love this Conair one because of the vented copper barrel – it really does help dry your hair faster!
I hardly ever wear eye makeup in the summer. But now that it isn’t as hot and humid outside, I’m ready to dress up my eyes a bit. I’m loving this Stila mascara, which really lives up to the name. It makes your lashes look HUGE. Not only does it add volume and length, but it’s so thick that you really don’t need eyeliner when you use it. Nothing I love more than a double-duty product!
My sister introduced me to this night oil, and I LOVE it. It’s blue and has a little bit of a strong scent, but don’t be scared. It really helps improve dryness, dullness, and texture – all while you sleep. I add a drop or two to my nightly moisturizer, and my face wakes up radiant and even toned.
I discovered this one on my own and also LOVE. My skin gets really dry and flakey during the fall/winter, so a light exfoliating is necessary. Good Genes is a lactic acid treatment that gently exfoliates and brightens without over drying. I use it every morning under my moisturizer to smooth and plump my skin. You can also layer it over the Luna Night Oil for anti-aging benefits.
I’m trying to refrain from using powder this fall as to not over-dry my skin. But let’s face it, my August tan has already faded away so I’ve been dusting a tiny bit of bronzer to help maintain a little of that summer glow. Bobbi Brown in color Elvis Duran is my absolute favorite!
