THE HAIR ACCESSORY I’M ALL ABOUT RIGHT NOW
Headbands! Blair Waldorf’s favorite accessory is making a comeback, and I couldn’t be happier about it. I’ve always loved the way a headband looks, not to mention the added functionality of keeping hair out of your face. I wore this cute top knot headband a few weeks ago, and it was a total hit. I’m really into the top knot headbands, but also loving bow-tie style headbands, turban headbands, and even more ornate embellished headbands. What do you think? Are you into headbands or not so much?
THE BEST NAIL POLISH FOR AT-HOME MANICURES
Last month I bought an Essie Gel Couture Kit on a whim at the pharmacy, and I am obsessed. I’m the worst at painting my own nails, but this nail polish has changed everything. Not only is it great because it turns into a gel-like finish that won’t chip (don’t worry, it’s really easy to take off). But the best part is that it’s SUPER easy to apply. The brush is shaped in such a way that it magically coats your entire finger nail in one swift swipe. It’s almost impossible to mess up using this kit. Added bonus: this polish also dries really quickly. Painting my own nails at home just got so much easier.
HOW I LIKE TO SERVE COCKTAIL SNACKS
If you’ve followed along on Instagram stories you know that Scott and I love to have friends over for drinks and make special cocktails. I’ve always been of the thought that it’s nice to have a little snack with your cocktail (bar nuts are my weakness). Lately I’ve been serving salted popcorn (Boom Chicka Pop Sea Salt is my favorite). My little trick: I serve the popcorn in an ice cream cup. It’s the perfect size for elegant cocktail snacks (don’t want it to feel like we’re at the movies with a tub of popcorn). Right now my prettiest ice cream cups come from Zara Home.
MY FAVORITE RUNNING SHOES, EVER
I want to preface this with the fact that I am not a long distance or expert runner by any means. But I do run 4-5 times a week on the treadmill, and have struggled for years looking for shoes that support my knees properly. Late last year I discovered the Saucony Freedom ISO running shoe from Rachel Parcell (who is a true runner). I have never been more grateful for a shoe suggestion! These shoes have changed my running life – my knees no longer hurt, and I can run for so much longer wearing them. They provide so much support, it’s like running on a spring. If you like to run and are looking for a good shoe, I highly recommend trying these out. Pro tip: Size up 1/2 to a full size as they do run small.
